Education Specialist Bridge Authorization Program
Program Description
Educator Preparation Programs suppports Special Education teachers credentialed before 2021 in meeting the new California Commision on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) standards through our fully online Education Specialist Bridge Authorization Program.
Conducted completely online, via an asynchronous model for maximum flexibility, this program helps educators transition from their existing special education credentials to the updated standards—enabling them to serve a broader range of student needs.
Educators who hold a full
Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, or Early Childhood Special Education—including authorization for autism instruction or an equivalent—may apply for the program

- Access to students within the scope of your updated authorization
