To enroll in transitional kindergarten (TK) or kindergarten, contact your
local school district:
- All children who turn 4 by September 1st of every year are eligible to enroll in transitional kindergarten. Most Santa Clara County school districts open enrollment in December, January, or February before the next academic year starts in August.

The Santa Clara County Office of Education launched the Steps to Success campaign with the vision of increasing enrollment and regular attendance in early learning programs in Santa Clara County.
