Classroom-level attendance resources Classroom culture is the sum of many key contributing factors and makes an impact on student attendance. Children who are engaged, see their culture in the classroom, are supported emotionally, have tools to communicate their needs, and trust adults, are more likely to both attend school and externalize frustrations in more constructive ways. Connecting families with community resources that support their ability to bring their children to school is also key. The Outreach and Attendance Toolkit contains resources for classroom level attendance, including:
- Key factors checklist - A list of guiding questions to help you identify key factors that may be impacting attendance
- Resources and learning opportunities brought to you by the
Inclusion Collaborative and California Preschool Instructional Network
-
Family Partnerships and Culture best practices created by the California Department of Education
