Credential Services Information:
To best serve you, please email credentialservices@sccoe.org or call 408-453-6767. We will be happy to assist you with forms, links, and step by step instructions to obtain your permit or credential.
We have a drop box available for your convenience, located on the Brokaw side of the building at 1290 Ridder Park Dr, labeled MC255, San Jose, CA 95131.
Please drop your documents in our secure box with a note and we will review them and get back to you by email.
Mailbox Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, closed on Holidays.
The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) serves as the local agency approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) to register the credentials of persons hired by county school districts for positions requiring administrative, teaching, service and special education credentials as well as other permits and certificates. The Credential Services Unit supports and assists school districts, certificated employees, and credential applicants. Please note: Our services are guided by the rules and regulations of the CTC and defined in California State Education Code.
