MHSPD School Social Worker Career Pathway
Program Details
The
Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration (MHSPD) grant is a collaborative partnership led by the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) with the San José State University (SJSU) School of Social Work - a minority-serving institution, and fourteen Santa Clara County school districts with high need schools.
The goal of this grant program is to create a workforce pipeline that will bring
diverse and credentialed school social work professionals to provide integrated support and family and community engagement at high need schools.
Financial Support through the MHSPD Grant
Earning a Master's in Social Work and Pupil Personnel Services Credential through partnership with the San José State University School of Social Work affords access to scholarship and stipend opportunities.
There are two programs that are eligible: Masters in Social Work with Pupil Personnel Services Credential in Social Work (MSW + PPSC) and
Post-Master's Pupil Personnel Services Credential in Social Work (PM-PPSC).
The scholarship will cover tuition fees and/or living expenses.
AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS:

$59,000 for MSW+PPSC candidates
- $20,000 for PM-PPSC candidates
