The SCCOE offers support to districts and schools to assist with instruction surrounding English Language Development (ELD). Our support provides opportunities for educators to dive deep into the implementation of the California ELD Standards by emphasizing researched-based instructional practices proven to accelerate learning. The potential of our students who are learning a new language is infinite. It’s up to district and school leaders, teachers, and counselors, to provide equitable access to the opportunities and supports each student needs to succeed in school and in college and career.
