Child Health & Well-being
We focus on early identification of health and mental health needs to support learning. Our program connects every child with a "medical home" for health assessments and a "dental home" for oral care, following standard guidelines.
Health Requirements & Support: All enrolled children must have current health and oral health records, including immunizations. Parents are responsible for follow-up care, and our Family Services staff can help with insurance and finding providers.
Screenings & Daily Checks: We conduct developmental, behavioral, vision, and hearing screenings for all new children within 45 days, and annually. Parents receive results and are informed of schedules. Daily health checks are done upon arrival to ensure child wellness and prevent illness.
Support & Resources: Our staff provides modifications and aids to support children's involvement. We also use resources from the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health & Safety (NCHBHS) to promote child well-being.
