Santa Clara County’s Alternative Education Department provides access to educational programming to youth detained at Juvenile Hall in San Jose and James Ranch in Morgan Hill. Students are able to pursue their high school diploma and college and career technical programs at both Osborne and Blue Ridge Schools. Core curriculum for high school students includes English, History, Math, and Science along with elective classes in art, culinary arts, construction and trades, digital music production, and horticulture. High school students and graduates also have the opportunity to sign-up for community college and university courses. It is our goal to provide students the opportunity to pursue their college and career plans while in our programs.
