The Commission on Teacher Credentialing requires every credential holder to pass a Basic Skills Exam. This is called the Basic Skills Requirement. There are several ways to meet this requirement.
You can take the CBEST exam.
The requirements for basic skills can be met with coursework completed in the first two years of your degree program. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a basic skills evaluation.
The Commission will accept SAT/ACT scores if they are high enough. The required scores are:
Examination Math English
College Board SAT 550 500
ACT 23 22
