SAN JOSE, CA – Three schools in Santa Clara County were named as 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education. This prestigious award recognizes elementary, middle, and high schools closing achievement and opportunity gaps, and where students achieve high learning standards. The local awardees were in the Exemplary High Performing School category:
- Joaquin Miller Middle School of the Cupertino Union School District
- Leigh High School of the Campbell Union High School District
- Lynbrook High School of the Fremont Union High School District
“Congratulations to the schools, their districts, and the learning communities that all contribute to successful student outcomes,” said County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mary Ann Dewan. “The county is proud of the work you do to support students on their academic journey.”
Of the 356 schools receiving this honor across the nation, 33 were from California.
