WHAT: The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) Multilingual Education Service department will host the 14th Annual Academic Success for English Learners and Migrant Students: Redefining Language & Literacy Development for the 21st Century. This conference will feature Dr. Luis Cruz, a nationally renowned speaker, expert, and advocate for English Learner education.

The 14th Annual Academic Success for English Learners and Migrant Students conference will include practical sessions on Dual Language Immersion Programs and integrated English Language Development in English Language Arts and mathematics for K-2, 3-5, and 6-12 presented by national and state-level experts.
The SCCOE provides support to districts, communities, schools, and students by offering research-based professional development services to assist teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators with the implementation of the Common Core State Standards, the English Language Arts/English Language Development Framework, and the Next Generation Science Standards.
