What is the Santa Clara County Classified Job Fair?
The Classified Job Fair was established eleven years ago to address the continuing need for our Santa Clara County school districts and charter schools to fill open classified positions at their school sites and district offices. This annual event offers job seekers a valuable opportunity to connect directly with hiring administrators from various school districts. Held at a central location, the fair brings together district representatives and candidates for a day of meaningful interaction and networking. This year's event will take place at our Ridder Park office.

Tips for success
To make the most of your time at the job fair and leave a strong impression on recruiters, keep these tips in mind:
-
Conduct yourself professionally at all times. You are "on stage" even while waiting in line or walking through the event. Your demeanor matters.
-
Come prepared. Bring multiple copies of your updated resume. Recruiters may not have access to materials you have submitted online in advance.
-
Have a plan. Identify your top-priority districts and positions beforehand. A clear plan of action will boost your confidence and help you stand out.
-
Travel light. Keep your appearance and materials neat and organized. Avoid carrying too much, as it can appear unprofessional and distracting.
-
Use your time wisely. If a particular interview line is long, move on to another district and return later.
-
Respect privacy. Wait your turn and allow others to finish their conversations before approaching a table.
-
Make a strong first impression. Establish eye contact, introduce yourself clearly, and express why you are interested in the position or district.
-
Be confident and engaged. Participate actively in your conversations. Show enthusiasm for the roles and districts that interest you.
