Mandated Reporter Training
The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) is committed to creating and maintaining an environment free from abusive conduct. To support this effort, the SCCOE has adopted an online course designed to help all understand their responsibilities regarding abusive conduct.
A personal, unique link for the course will be emailed to each individual. The email will come from Santa Clara County Office of Education SCCOE <donotreply@lawroom.com> and the subject will be “SCCOE Mandatory Online Training: Protect Children California/Mandated
Reporting online training.”
The online course is the tool adopted by the organization to satisfy the training requirement relating to child abuse reporting per
California Education Codes Section 44690, 44691 and
Penal Code Section 11165.7. Please find
SCCOE policy on Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Prevention and Reporting 4141.4 AR here and in the course under “Resources.”
The course is required of all persons with access or contact with students. Mandated reporter training must be conducted prior to
beginning and annually, within the first six weeks of each new school year.
For questions about the material, please contact Lisa Ketchum, Manager Workforce Services at (408) 453-6574 or
lisa_ketchum@sccoe.org. Thank you in advance for taking the time to learn about this important issue and for completing the required course.
