SCCOE creates new spaces for local educators and education professionals
SAN JOSE, CA – The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) will host a formal ribbon-cutting for the newly remodeled Education Resource Center and Makerspace on Tuesday, August 20. County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Mary Ann Dewan, will join SCCOE staff, students, and community partners at this dedication event.
The Education Resource Center is a state of the art classroom, meeting space, lending library for professional learning, and space to build community in the teaching profession. It houses the Educator Preparation Programs, which trains educators in credential programs including Leaders in Educational Administration Program and Education Preparation for Inclusive Classrooms.
The Makerspace is a work-room for educators, equipped with laminating machines, paper cutting, and other essential classroom tools.

About the Santa Clara County Office of Education
Working collaboratively with school and community partners, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) is a regional service agency that provides instructional, business, and technology services to the 31 school districts of Santa Clara County. The County Office of Education directly serves students through special education programs, alternative schools, Head Start and State Preschool programs, migrant education, and Opportunity Youth Academy. The SCCOE also provides academic and fiscal oversight and monitoring to districts in addition to the 21 Santa Clara County Board of Education authorized charter schools.
