Digital Equity – Bridging the Digital Divide
The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) is actively working to close the digital divide - the gulf between students and their families who have ready access to computers and the internet, and those who do not. By closing the digital divide, we can ensure digital access so that all youth have the resources, skills, and connectivity to learn, engage, and thrive. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic that forced school and business closures across the state, this endeavor is more important than ever, as school districts make hard decisions regarding what learning will look like in the future and many consider hybrid distance learning plans that bring education safely into the homes of the students they serve.
