The Santa Clara County Office of Education, with the support and partnership of other organizations, has created #CSinSV, a Computer Science Plan of Implementation and Support for ALL students in Santa Clara County.
Vision:
Every 21st-century student should have the opportunity to take part in creating technology that’s changing our world. The basics help nurture creativity and problem-solving skills and prepare students for any future career.
- All students in our Silicon Valley districts have access to high-quality computer science education beginning in Kindergarten and extending through 12th grade.
- Professional Learning Opportunities that promote strategies to intentionally engage females and students of color in computer science.
- Inclusion of students in special education.
- Student success with 21st-century skills: critical thinking, collaboration, computational thinking, communication, and creativity.
- Providing all students with an exemplary college preparatory education so they can succeed in college, career, and life.
CSinSV will support the districts, teachers, and students in 3 aspects:
- Professional Learning Opportunities on the Ca. CS standards
- Partnerships and Networks
- Resources
Details will be coming soon!
