SAN JOSE, CA – The third annual Santa Clara County Classified Job Fair is slated for Saturday, September 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) located at 1290 Ridder Park Drive, San Jose. The fair is an opportunity for qualified candidates to meet with school district hiring administrators.
Twenty Santa Clara County school districts are expected to attend the fair and have indicated openings in the following areas: paraeducators, food service workers, custodians, drivers (all levels), clerical/administrative assistants, and maintenance workers. Santa Clara County has 32 school districts from Palo Alto to Gilroy.
"We are looking forward to another successful year connecting districts in need of qualified classified employees with candidates looking for a rewarding career in Santa Clara County school districts," said Philip J. Gordillo, Chief Human Resources Officer for the SCCOE.
While the pre-registration period has ended, walk-in registration and screening will begin at 8 a.m. the day of the event.
The Classified Job Fair began three years ago in response to the ongoing need for quality classified employees to staff school sites and district offices. Inspired by the successful Teacher Recruitment Fair that takes place at the SCCOE each spring, the Classified Job Fair connects employers from school districts with applicants from throughout the region.
