We are excited for you to join our SCCOE Pride Parade Contingent! Please see the information below for details.
General Details
- Our check in/staging location is West Julian Street (Green Zone). Please enter the area at West Julian and Terrain (picture below).
- All SCCOE parade participants must be entered through the designated checkpoint and be in our staging area by 9:30 a.m. (August 29) - West Julian and Terrain. Participants can check in at the SCCOE Staging area with the SCCOE representative.
- Parade Step Off (start of the parade) is at the intersection of Coleman,
East and West.
- Parade Exit (for walking contingents) is at San Fernando. We will
exit east around the Cathedral Basilica of St.
- Families welcome. We ask that young folks are accompanied by
an adult.
- Don't forget water to stay hydrated!
- Dress is festive, fun, and (as we are representing SCCOE) appropriate. The theme is PROUDLY AUTHENTIC.

Assembly and Start Time
- The assembly area is located on E. Julian Street between N. San Pedro Avenue and North 1st Street in downtown San Jose. We will be notified of SCCOE's space upon arrival.
- All contingents must check in by 9:30 a.m. at the staging area.
The parade will kick off at 10:30 a.m. sharp with the first contingents. The rest of the parade will
follow on S. Market Street, from E. Julian Street down S. Market Street to S. Market Street and
W. San Fernando St. A map is included below for your convenience.
Getting to the Assembly Area
- We recommend public transportation to the assembly area. Parking within the assembly area is not allowed. There is ample parking in downtown San Jose.
- Portable toilets: portable toilets will be available and located throughout the parade route.
Parade Route
- The parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. sharp with the first contingents. The rest of the parade will follow on S. Market Street, from E. Julian Street down S. Market Street to S. Market Street and W. San Fernando St.
