Attendance Works is a nationally recognized initiative that advances better policies and practices to improve school attendance. Attendance Works promotes equal opportunities to learn and advances student success by reducing chronic absence. As a non-profit initiative, Attendance Works collaborates with schools, districts, states, communities, and organizations to ensure that everyone recognizes chronic absence as a serious issue that can be addressed using a positive, problem-solving approach grounded in an understanding of educational inequities. Objectives include building public awareness and support for evidence-based strategies, encouraging proven and innovative practices, facilitating peer learning, and advancing policies that improve attendance.
