SAN JOSE, CA– May 1 is designated a national day of action to raise awareness about immigration rights. Educators across California have organized activities to bring together students, parents, teachers, and community members to show a united front for equal access to learning.
WHAT: A news conference in coordination with the nationwide campaign promoted by the Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools, the California Teachers Association, and the United Teachers of Santa Clara. This news conference is to collectively declare support for public education, the shared belief that all community members should have the right to access it, and that schools should be safe and supportive places for all students.
