The SCCOE and school districts in Santa Clara County select substitute teachers using the same general procedure as they do for assigning regular teachers. An appropriate teaching credential or substitute permit is required for substitute teacher employment. If you are interested in substitute teacher information, we suggest you contact the individual districts.
