Charter Authorizer Support Initiative (CASI) is a program managed collaboratively by the Santa Clara County Office of Education’s (SCCOE) Charter Schools Department and the
California Charter Authorizing Professionals (CCAP), both sub-grant recipients of the
California Department of Education (CDE), Charter Schools Division. The purpose of the initiative is to expand professional development and networking opportunities for authorizers through statewide and regional activities, with a special emphasis on supporting small and rural authorizers. CASI is funded through the Public Charter Schools Grant Program Charter School Authorizer Technical Assistance Provider Sub-Grant, under the federal Charter School Programs.
