SAN JOSE, CA – A Santa Clara County Office of Education employee was arrested on the Chandler Tripp Learning Center campus on March 3, on charges related to the possession of child pornography. Media outlets with inquiries about the case should call Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, which is handling this ongoing investigation.
“The matter was brought to light by a SCCOE employee, who promptly reported their concerns. I want to commend our staff for their vigilance and commitment to keeping our schools safe,” said Dr. Charles Hinman, Interim County Superintendent of Schools. “This staff member’s actions ensured an immediate response by the SCCOE team, allowing law enforcement to open an investigation and make the arrest. Based on our conversations with Santa Clara County Sheriff’s officials, there is no evidence at this time indicating any students were involved or compromised in any way. This investigation is ongoing and SCCOE is cooperating with local law enforcement.”
