SAN JOSE, CA – Santa Clara County school districts received top recognition from state departments and associations throughout the 2024-25 school year. To spotlight their achievement, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) hosted them at Excellence in Education, an annual celebration on June 11.
During the school year, numerous recognitions from the California Department of Education, California School Boards Association, and the Santa Clara County School Boards Association were awarded to schools and districts in Santa Clara County. These recognitions include the California Distinguished Schools, Model Continuation High Schools, Golden Bell Awards, California Green Ribbon Schools, Civic Learning Award Schools, and National Blue Ribbon Schools.
Additionally, districts and SCCOE programs submitted their Classified School Employee of the Year winners to the county. County-level honorees were then submitted to the California Department of Education. There were nine categories with honorees in two districts and one Santa Clara County Office of Education program.
“These awards are a celebration of the hard work and heart that define our educational community," said County Superintendent of Schools Dr. David M. Toston, Sr. “We are so very proud of the districts, schools, and staff working to uplift public education and all its success.”
“It is an honor to celebrate all of the hard work the honorees have done and their dedication to the students of Santa Clara County,” said Santa Clara County Board of Education President Maimona Afzal Berta.
