Victoria Chon was elected to the Santa Clara County Board of Education in 2020.
She was born in San Francisco and received her education in Fremont from elementary school to high school. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters in Teaching from William Jessup University. Victoria has aspired to be an elementary school teacher and has worked with children throughout her work experience from a swim teacher, to an after school program teacher and now, currently works as a public school teacher in Alameda County. She additionally serves on her Teacher's Union Executive Board as an Elementary Director since 2018.
Victoria is the daughter of immigrant parents from South Korea, she has one younger sister, and is the first in her family to be an elected official. She recently married her husband in 2020.
