Area 2: Cupertino Union, Lakeside Joint Union, Loma Prieta Joint Union, Los Gatos Union, Saratoga Union, and Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School district and small portions of Santa Clara Unified and Sunnyvale and the corresponding portion of Fremont Union High
Ms. Tara Sreekrishnan joins the county board with professional public policy and community outreach experience at the city, county, and state government levels. She currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to California Senator Dave Cortese.
Sreekrishnan has worked on local political and advocacy campaigns, served on several nonprofit boards, and co-founded the nonprofit Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action (SVYCA) that empowers students across Santa Clara County to combat climate change through impactful education and policy initiatives.
She is a graduate of Mills College and a proud product of K-12 public schools in Trustee Area 2. The four core principles of the Santa Clara County Office of Education— diversity, equity, inclusion, and partnership—reflect her own priorities as well.
