                     <strong>CLASP/Child Care &amp; Early Education</strong></a> initiative promotes  policies that support both child development and the needs of low-income  working parents.</li><li>
                  <strong>Children's Defense Fund (CDF)</strong> – The mission of the

                     <strong>Children’s  Defense Fund</strong></a> is to Leave No Child Behind<strong> </strong>and to ensure every child a  Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in  life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and  communities.</li><li>
                  <strong>Children Now</strong> –

                  <strong>County Welfare Directors Association of California (CWDA)</strong> – The

                     <strong>County  Welfare Directors Association of California</strong></a> is a non-profit  association representing the human service directors from each of California’s  58 counties. The Association’s mission is to promote a human services system  that encourages self-sufficiency of families and communities, and protects  vulnerable children and adults from abuse and neglect.</li><li>
                  <strong>EveryChild California</strong> – 
                  <a href="https&#58;//www.everychildca.org/">
                     <strong>EveryChild California</strong></a> represents comprehensive  approach to early childhood education and learning. It advocates for publicly  funded early care and education programs across the state, by supporting the  development of the child's social, emotional and intellectual well being, all  while in a safe and high quality learning environment.</li><li>
                  <strong>National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)</strong> – The

                     <strong>National  Association for the Education of Young Children</strong></a> exists for the purpose of  leading and consolidating the efforts of individuals and groups working to  achieve healthy development and constructive education for all young children.</li><li>
                  <strong>Palo Alto Advisory Committee on Early Care and Education</strong> (PAACECE) – PAACECE is an  advisory committee to the City of Palo Alto on issues related to child care  (ages 0-12) and early learning. PAACECE has three main goals&#58;

The CCDD provides planning, policy direction,  and oversight of the majority of state-supported child care and development  programs and services in California.s.</li><li>

                     <strong>FIRST 5 Santa Clara  County</strong></a> utilizes Proposition 10 funds to promote,  support and improve early childhood development for children prenatal through  age five and their families.</li><li>
                  <strong>FIRST 5 California – </strong>

                     <strong>FIRST 5 California</strong></a> represents an important part of the state’s effort to nurture  and protect our most precious resource – our children.</li><li>
                  <strong>Office of Child Care – </strong>The 
                  <a href="http&#58;//www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/ccb/">
                     <strong>Office  of Child Care</strong></a> is part of the U.S.  Department of Health &amp; Human Services. The Child Care Bureau is dedicated  to enhancing the quality, affordability, and availability of child care for all  families. The Office of Child Care administers federal funds to states,  territories, and tribes to assist low-income families in accessing quality  child care for children when the parents work or participate in education or  training.<br></li><li>
                  <a href="http&#58;//www.childcarescc.org/"><strong>SCCOE  Child Care Resource &amp; Referral Program</strong></a> – The Santa Clara County Office of Education serves as the  Child Care Resource and Referral Program (R&amp;R) for Santa Clara County. The  function of the R&amp;R is to provide every family and provider with what they  need to be successful by implementing the SCCOE’s core values of equity,  diversity, inclusion, and partnership. The Resource and Referral Program  provides the following&#58; child care resources for families and providers,  information and resources for families, and training and technical assistance  for providers.</li><li>
