Program Description
The
SCCOE Educator Preparation Programs’ Wellness Coach Pre-Apprenticeship introduces individuals to school-based wellness careers and prepares them to support student mental health and wellbeing in K–12 settings.
This introductory pathway is for students who are curious about working in wellness roles in schools. This is a
short-term, part-time exploration experience that can help participants decide whether to pursue a long-term path in wellness work.
Participants will:
- Enroll in
one community college course related to wellness
- Be connected with a
program liaison

Visit school-based wellness centers at elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Explore the variety of roles and needs across school campuses
