• The English-Spanish Glossary for Educational Setting was developed by the California Department of Education (CDE) to encourage more consistent use of words and terminology that are commonly found in state and federal communication documents about assessment, education, and accountability. Its purpose has been, and continues to be, to ensure the consistency of documents the CDE produces for Spanish-speaking audiences, primarily parents and guardians. The CDE is now making this resource available to local educational agencies for the same purpose.
