Tara Sreekrishnan joined the county board in 2021, bringing professional public policy and community outreach experience at the city, county, and state government levels. Sreekrishnan has worked on local political and advocacy campaigns, served on several nonprofit boards, and co-founded the nonprofit Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action (SVYCA), which empowers students across Santa Clara County to combat climate change through impactful education and policy initiatives.
Passionate about environmental education and student voice, she is dedicated to ensuring that young people are engaged in shaping policies that affect their future. Sreekrishnan is a graduate of Mills College and a proud product of K-12 public schools in Trustee Area 2. She earned her Master’s Degree at the U.C. Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy.
