Data Governance oversees the security and usability of student data. Staff support school districts in visualizing their data through DataZone, and empowers county agencies to share information through the FosterVision application.
DataZone
DataZone offers low-cost data warehousing with secure district partitions and role-based authentication. The platform aggregates multiple data sources (SIS, Assessments, HR, Finance) to visualize information for decision-making.-
Data Governance Program
Data Governance Program is the SCCOE's formal and comprehensive set of policies and processes designed to ensure the ethical management of data throughout its entire life cycle. Early Learning Data Governance
Early Learning Data Governance (ELDG) coordinates multiple early learning data initiatives at the Santa Clara County Office of Education that are in alignment with the Santa Clara County Early Learning Master Plan and the state's cradle to career initiatives. ELDG coordinates and participates in local and statewide stakeholder gatherings to propel the vision, system design, data use, and sustainability of both statewide and countywide Early Childhood Integrated Data Systems (ECIDS). In addition, ELDG maintains and develops the Santa Clara County Childcare Portal, coordinates the Steps to Success campaign, and convenes stakeholders to support the identification of high quality assessments that take a whole-child approach.
FosterVision
FosterVision Is a cross agency data system that updates nightly with information from Schools, Child Welfare, and Juvenile Probation. This data sharing partnership accelerates support for at risk youth receiving services from multiple agencies across the county.
