Our mission is to provide instructional and other services to improve understanding of economics, geography, world and United States History, and Government, as well as to instill the skills and dispositions of civic learning and participation. We seek to move history-social science education beyond the rote memorization of facts by engaging students in the inquiry of documents and images and engaging with non-fiction text.
The SCCOE History-Social Science (HSS) department provides:
