SAN JOSE, CA – On Friday, March 8, County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Mary Ann Dewan will join local community leaders, elected officials, educators, and education advocates to engage in important discussions to strengthen the support for Santa Clara County Children and release The 2019 Santa Clara County Children's Data Book.
The 2019 Santa Clara County Children's Data Book provides meaningful data and key-indicators of well-being for Santa Clara County Youth. The publication was made in collaboration with local agencies by Kids in Common, and the Santa Clara County Office of Education. Partners are working to ensure that every child has the supports necessary to be successful in school and beyond.

Dr. Dewan co-chairs the Children's Agenda along with Judge Len Edwards retired and Former Presiding Judge Santa Clara County Juvenile Dependency Court and Dr. Fernando Mendoza, Professor of Pediatrics at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital with the support of Dana Bunnett, Director of Kids in Common.

About the Santa Clara County Office of Education
Working collaboratively with school and community partners, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) is a regional service agency that provides instructional, business, and technology services to the 31 school districts of Santa Clara County. The County Office of Education directly serves students through special education programs, alternative schools, Head Start and State Preschool programs, migrant education, and Opportunity Youth Academy. The SCCOE also provides academic and fiscal oversight and monitoring to districts in addition to the 22 Santa Clara County Board of Education authorized charter schools.
