      <description><![CDATA[<div><b>Page Content:</b> <h2>​​​​​​​​​​California's System of Suppor​t<br></h2><p>​​​​​California’s System of Support is focused on improving the outcomes of California’s students. The purpose of California’s System of Support, articulated in California Education Code (EC) 
   <a href="https&#58;//leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=EDC&amp;sectionNum=52059.5.">Section 52095.5(b)</a>&#160;&#160;is to build the capacity of LEAs in each of the following areas&#58;</p><ol><li><p>​​Support the continuous improvement of student performance in each of the eight state priority areas described in EC sections 
         <a href="https&#58;//leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=EDC&amp;sectionNum=52060.">520​​60(d)</a>&#160;and 
         <a href="https&#58;//leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=EDC&amp;sectionNum=52066.">52066(d)</a>.</p></li><li><p>Address the gaps in achievement between student groups identified in EC 
         <a href="https&#58;//leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?sectionNum=52052.&amp;lawCode=EDC">Section 52052</a>.</p></li><li><p>​Improve outreach and collaboration with community partners to ensure that goals, actions, and services described in school district and county office of education (COE) 
         <a href="https&#58;//www.cde.ca.gov/re/lc/">Local Control and Accountability Plans</a> (LCAPs) reflect the needs of students and the community, especially for historically underrepresented or low-achieving groups.​</p></li></ol><p>As such, SCCOE’s Continuous Improvement and Accountability department provides three levels of training and support to LEAs and schools&#58;</p><ul><li><p>Level 1&#58;&#160; General Support and resources provided to all LEAs &amp; Schools</p></li><li><p>​Level 2&#58;&#160; Differentiated Assistance is a targeted support available to LEAs that meet eligibility requirements set by the State Board of Education</p></li><li><p>Level 3&#58;&#160; Intensive Intervention provided to LEAs that are identified as having persistent performance issues and lance of improvement over four consecutive years​</p></li></ul><p> 
   <span style="font-size&#58;1rem;"></span></p><p></p><h2>Differentiated Assistance​<br></h2><p>Districts that have been identified as eligible for 
   <a href="https&#58;//www.cde.ca.gov/sp/sw/t1/csss.asp">Level 2 Technical Support​</a>, based on the​ 
   <a href="https&#58;//www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/cm/index.asp#new2022">2022 California School Dashboard</a> are provided support through a 
   <a href="https&#58;//docs.google.com/document/d/1pI93q0sDXxGVfk-YoV8C8GoNLK8rqiSiuMbhpLn6C-o/edit">hybrid model</a> that includes in-person training, individualized LEA coaching and opportunities for networking.&#160; Our overarching goal is to help LEAs and their schools meet the needs of each student they serve, with a focus on building local capacity to sustain improvement and to effectively address disparities in opportunities and outcomes.&#160;&#160;</p><p>Working as a partner, our support is differentiated for each district, based on district identified problems of practice and root cause analyses.&#160; Both 
   <a href="https&#58;//www.carnegiefoundation.org/our-ideas/">Improvement Science</a> tools and 
   <a href="https&#58;//nirn.fpg.unc.edu/">Implementation Science</a> tools are used in the training.&#160; The foundation for this work is the examination of each district’s current system through the lens of the MTSS framework&#58; system structure, data, and practices.<br></p><h2>Helpful Links&#58;</h2><ul><li><p>
