Night Programs
After your daily hikes, recess, shower, and dinner, you'll
participate in the evening program. Each night is different, but they are almost
always outside so be prepared with warm clothes. Programs begin at 7:00 and end
around 9:00 p.m. The first night you'll be busy singing songs and being entertained by the
Walden West staff. Tuesday's astronomy program (5 day programs only) includes an awesome presentation
about our world and a chance to view planets, nebula, or the moon through telescopes.
Wednesday's Night Hike is what many students say is their
favorite activity. It is a great opportunity to learn about night adaptations and to find
out why nocturnal animals are so special. On Thursday is the exciting game of cabin jeopardy and a folk
dance. All the evening programs are guaranteed to be entertaining. Be ready to
sing, laugh, and have fun.
