Showcase your
district and share your success with other educators by participating in the
2009 Glenn W. Hoffmann Exemplary Awards Program. Initiated by the Santa Clara
County School Boards Association (SCCSBA) in 1983, the Hoffmann Awards provide
recognition for successful district programs that are of either direct or
indirect benefit to students. This is the 25th anniversary of the
awards.
You are invited to submit an application for a program in
your district that you feel is worthy of commendation. You may re-submit
programs that have not previously received an award. A committee of SCCSBA
members and educational professionals will review all applications and make
visitations during February and March 2009. Award winners will be notified at
the end of March. The 2009 Hoffmann Awards will be presented at the SCCSBA’s
Spring Dinner on Wednesday April 22, 2009. The program judged to be the best
among all the awardees will be recognized with the Kristi Porter Award.
Application forms,
guidelines, categories descriptions, and scoring rubric follow. Additional
applications may be downloaded from our Website,
www.sccoe.org/sccsba.
Please return the application and a two-page program summary to (if possible,
e-mail an electronic copy and mail or fax the signature page):
