- Abilities United
Abilities United (formerly C. A. R.) is a not-for-profit organization for people with
developmental (Down Syndrome, mental retardation, autism, and cerebral palsy) and other
disabilities, who live in the Bay Area. Their Milestones Program offers an inclusive
preschool program with an emphasis on individual growth and progress to meet the needs
of all children in a developmentally focused inclusive preschool program.
Serving children 2-5 years of age, 3 classes available.
- Blind Babies Foundation (BBF)
BBF is committed to providing excellent Family Centered Services, community
activities, and medical support for 0-6 year olds with visual impairments
and blindness. As well, we offer tailored trainings for program staff,
parent groups and caregivers at our San Jose Family Center.
- California
Children's Services
California Children's Services is a statewide program that coordinates,
authorizes, and pays for specialized medical care, equipment, and
rehabilitation for children with special health care needs, from birth to 21
years of age. To qualify for services, the child must have a CCS
eligible medical condition. Some services require financial
eligibility as well.
- Child Advocates of Silicon Valley Inc.
The mission of Child Advocates is to provide stability and hope to abused and neglected
children by being a powerful voice in their lives.
- Choices 4 Children
In Santa Clara County, Choices for Children operates three distinct
programs: the Child Care Subsidy Program, the Child Care Food Program,
Family and Provider Services, including P-TRAC (Provider Training,
Resource & Activity Center). Offers a full range of information and
support for developing, operating and licensing a quality child care
facility, choosing a child care providers and finding financial and family
assistance.
- City of Milpitas Child Care
The Milpitas Recreation Services Child Care Program is committed to
advocating for quality child care and to supporting and educating child care
providers, parents and the general public within the City of Milpitas.
Services provided include: Milpitas area child care resource and referral,
family child care grant program to support providers, family child care
support group and assistance with general child care questions and issues.
- City of Sunnyvale's Youth, Family & Child Care Resources
To ensure a high quality of life for youth and families, and address child care needs by facilitating
affordable, available, high-quality child care and early education services for children thru age 12;
promote a family-friendly environment; and leverage community resources to support youth and families.
To support new and potential child care providers, as well as seekers of child care, by providing
resource information.
- Community Child Care Council (4Cs)
The Community Child Care Council of Santa Clara County(4C’s) is a non-profit, community-based
agency that provides a variety of comprehensive services and serves as the community child
care link for families and child care professionals who live and work in Santa Clara County,
California.
- De Anza Community
College
The Child Development and Education Division instructional programs
serve over 3,000 students each year who are either entering the early care
profession or upgrading their skills while working in the field. The
department offers Certificate Programs and an Associate Degree Program
designed to prepare students to work in a variety of early care settings.
- E3 Institute
The purpose of the E3 Institute Advancing
Excellence in Early Education (formerly known as the Institute for Early
Childhood Professional Development) is to support and strengthen early
childhood professional development through education, recruitment, and
financial incentives.
- Fiesta Educativa
Provides conferences to Spanish speaking families who have children with
disabilities.
- FIRST 5
FIRST 5 Santa Clara County is a public entity that provides thought leadership,
creates awareness, funds, advocates and educates on the healthy development of children
prenatal through age 5, while enriching the lives of families and supporting communities
and local agencies.
- Friends of Children with Special Needs
To help children with special needs and their families find hope, love,
respect, and support through integrated community involvement.
