Kidango honors Weis, Trujillo
SAN JOSE, CA – Dr. Charles Weis, Santa Clara County Superintendent of
Schools, has been honored for his contributions to early education and child
development by Kidango, a child development service agency serving Alameda and
Santa Clara Counties.
Dr. Weis was among “30 Influential Leaders” chosen by the private
not-for-profit agency for making a difference in the lives of children and
families throughout the Bay Area in the fields of education, mental health,
early intervention and public service. Ana Trujillo, director of Head Start and
Early Head Start programs at the County Office of Education, also was honored as an
influential leader who makes a difference.
The honorees received their awards at Kidango’s 30th Anniversary
Celebration on December 5.
Kidango, headquartered in Fremont, serves 2,500 children in preschool,
school age, infant care, Head Start, early intervention, mental health and
family child care home education programs.
