Incumbents T.N. Ho and Jane Howard were re-elected to the County Board of
Education Tuesday, Nov. 7. This will be the fourth term of office for Ho and
the second for Howard, who was appointed to the board last year.
On Dec. 13, Ho and Howard will be sworn into office, along with board member
Craig Mann, who ran unopposed for the seat held by Anthony Munoz.
T.N. Ho is currently president of the board. Since he was first elected in
1994, he has served on virtually every board committee, including the Policy
Development Subcommittee and Regional Occupational Program-North County
Committee. He is a technology consultant and former teacher.
Jane Howard serves on the board’s Budget Study, ROP-South, and Childcare
committees. She is a former member of the board of the Gilroy Unified School
District and was president of the Leadership Gilroy Education Foundation. A
small business owner, she is executive director of the Gilroy Visitors Bureau.
Craig Mann has served on the board of the East Side Union High School
District since his appointment in 1998. He also has been a member and chairman
of the San Jose Human Rights Commission, and served on the Education Committee
for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He has worked in private industry
throughout most of his career.
