Quality Education Investment Act (QEIA)
Overview
The Quality Education Investment Act (QEIA) or SB 1133 is legislation brought about by the
CTA lawsuit against Governor Schwarzenegger and will provide $3 billion over seven years to
assist low performing California schools in closing the achievement gap by reducing class size,
improving teacher and principal training, and adding counselors to high schools.
