- Who can take ROP?
ROP courses are open to all adults, out-of-school youth, and high school students who are 16 years of age or older. Courses held on high school campuses will give priority registration to high school students.

Classes are held on high school campuses, at the SCROP site and at Gavilan College.

ROP instructors are experienced in their field and hold valid California teaching credentials. Many are currently employed within their industry.

- A certificate of completion including a list of acquired career-technical skills and competencies.

High School students should contact their academic counselor or ROP Site Specialist on their campus.
Adults and out-of-school youth should contact the ROP office or Gavilan Site Specialist for classes at the community college.

- What is 2+2 articulation?
Articulation is a planned process linking two or more education systems within a community to help students make a smooth transition from one level of instruction to another without experiencing delays or loss of credit.
2+2 courses offer the opportunity for a student to take ROP courses during a junior or senior year of high school and have college credits or advanced placement granted when the student moves into a similar program at a local community college.

- Job seeking skill training
Each ROP instructor provides employment search training to all ROP students. Training covers interviewing, resume and application writing, career search, socializing, rights, resignation and references.
