Listen Online to a State Legislative Hearing

To listen to Assembly Hearing on your computer:
     
 
  1. If your computer has a speaker, turn it on.
  2. Click this link to go to State Assembly webpage
  3. Note: You will need "Windows Media" software to listen. At the bottom of the webpage, there are links to download this software. It is free.

  4. Click on the room number under the Committee (i.e. Room 4202).
  5. Wait for connection.

Note: Committee hearing often do not begin at the time scheduled. You will have to be patient. When the hearing begins, the sound will start (often abruptly).

Also, a legislator’s bills are heard when the legislator is present, therefore the bills are heard out of number order.

 
     

To listen to a Senate Hearing on your computer:
     
 
  1. Go to the State Senate webpage
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the webpage and click on "Today’s Hearings"
  3. Note: You will need "Windows Media" software to listen. At the bottom of the webpage, there are links to download this software. It is free.

  4. Click on the room number under the Committee (i.e. Room 4202).
  5. Wait for connection.
