Sources for National and State Data

initiatives have led to an increased need for school demographic, performance,
and financial data. Use these websites to find data and create statistical
reports.
DataQuest -
DataQuest is the California Department of Education's database on California
schools and districts. This site provides performance, demographic, and other
information on students, staffs, and schools.
Ed-Data (Education Data
Partnership) - This interactive database includes demographic and
performance data for each California school, school district, county, and the
state--plus detailed financial data at the school district, county, and
statewide levels.
EdResults

identify how their schools are performing compared to other schools in their
states with similar or more disadvantaged student populations, and learn what
the highest-performing schools are doing to raise test scores.
National Census Bureau - This

data. The site features the American FactFinder, a tool which helps users find

their communities; and State and County QuickFacts.

(NCES) - NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing
data related to education in the United States and other nations. This site
