Fingerprint Livescan Services
The Fingerprint Livescan Services of the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) provides employment clearance and personnel support services to school employers, educational agencies, community volunteer organizations and employers serving students, schools, and educational programs throughout Santa Clara County.
Our services enable school employers and state regulatory agencies such as the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to obtain criminal record summaries for persons seeking appointment to school positions or volunteer assignments or applying for teaching credentials and community care licenses. As required by California State Law, an individual who has been convicted of serious and/or violent crime is precluded from employment or volunteer service in California's public schools. An individual who is awaiting trial for serious and/or violent crimes is also precluded from rendering service in California public schools until the matter has been legally concluded.
