Delta Dental MOVEit Security Incident
Delta Dental of California and affiliates experienced a data security incident involving the MOVEit Transfer (“MOVEit") software, an application used by their company and many organizations worldwide.
Immediately after being alerted of the incident, Delta Dental launched a thorough investigation and took steps to contain and remediate the incident. This extensive investigation and analysis of the data recently concluded and the impacted individuals whose specific personal information was acquired from the MOVEit platform have been identified.
ACSIG has elected to have a third party, Kroll, handle the communications. Kroll, a global leader in risk mitigation and response will manage the dedicated call centers. Kroll will also send notification letters by mail to the impacted individuals offering 24 months of free identity monitoring services which include:
- Fraud Notification
- Call Center Support
- Single Bureau Credit Monitoring (18+)
- $1 Million Identity Fraud Loss Reimbursement (18+)
- Fraud Consultation
- Identity Theft Restoration
The letters will be sent in batches via mail, a process that is expected to take several weeks to complete. Not every impacted individual will be notified at the same time. A sample notification letter is attached.
Currently, we do not have details on which ACSIG groups have impacted individuals. We will update you if/when we receive that information.
For any other questions or concerns related to this incident, please call the dedicated number at 800-693-2571, Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. PT.
