SCCOE Staff Wellness EventThe Superhero in YOU
All staff are invited to "hero up" at the
staff wellness event, Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. at the Ridder Park campus.
Energize your mind and body and get started with a new super Vitality season. Earn Vitality Points for your participation in various event activities. All activities are complimentary and open to staff whether or not you are participating in Vitality. Some activities are open to dependents and friends. There is something for everyone!
Complimentary activities include:
Registration opens August 1st on OMS. Participants are invited to:
1. Register for the event; and
2. Choose only the activities you plan to attend.

Group exercise at SCCOE
It pays to join group exercise! SCCOE and Vitality are working together to help offset the cost for SCCOE group exercise classes. Now Vitality members can use the annual Vitality gym rebate of up to $200 to offset the costs for participating in SCCOE group exercise classes between September 1 – August 31.Eligibility and steps to apply for the rebate:

Meet Us On The Trail!
Everyone is welcome, SCCOE staff, family and friends (dogs can join on some trails) for voluntary non-competitive group activities suitable for all levels. We meet at local parks or trails and earn 250 Vitality Points for participating (need not be a Vitality member to join).
Vitality Health FYI Webcasts
Each month Vitality hosts a webinar that covers a special health-related topic. The aim is to create a short learning experience and show you how engaging in Vitality can help you live better. Earn 50 Vitality Points when you watch the live webinar session scheduled on the third Thursday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m. or when you watch a recorded webcast from your Vitality Portal. Wellness Campaigns and Challenges in 2016-17
THE CLIMB – An SCCOE Workout Challenge (May 1-31, 2017)
Congratulations to all 53 teams and 486 staff participants in THE CLIMB!
We reached our SCCOE wide goal! Collectively our SCCOE teams averaged of 25.3 workouts per person over 31 days.
Kudos to our top three teams:
All eligible SCCOE staff, who complete the Vitality Health Review (VHR) and achieve Vitality's Silver Status or above will enjoy a wellness Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reward with contributions from the SCCOE. The FSA is administered by American Fidelity and is dertermined by your Vitality Status.
Important information and dates for staff who participated in Vitality during the 2016-17 school year, completed the Vitality Health Review and received Vitality Silver Status or above:
There are many ways to access your wellness FSA funds.
Please note: If you received an FSA card last year, you may use the same card again this year. Once you complete and submit the
Rules of Participation form to

Vitality Champions promote, support, encourage, and motivate co-workers to achieve personal wellness goals. They help create a healthy work environment through utilization of the employee wellness program and act as liaisons between the SCCOE Wellness Coordinator and staff. Vitality Champions adopt healthy lifestyles and proactively seek ways to educate others at their worksite.

Ridder Park fitness center
The center is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and is closed on weekends and scheduled holidays. For information regarding rules and access to the SCCOE Ridder Park fitness center,

Staff is encouraged to get the vaccine through their healthcare provider.
To receive Vitality Points submit your activities online. Visit
